I'm an adult. I do grown-up stuff like vote and say cuss words.
Catching Elephant is a theme by Andy Taylor
Me and a friend were talking about our ideas for a full on reboot of the X-men franchise, and this is what I came up with for some of the bigger villains. I’m gonna try to do something for the heroes, more of the villains and some of the other stuff later though.
Apocalypse: One of the first and most powerful mutants. Abandoned upon birth for his grotesque metallic skin, the young Apocalypse was forced to fend for himself until the age of eight, when a warlord discovered him surrounded by his dead soldiers.
The warlord taught him the ways of his tribe, the most important of which being their survival of the fittest philosophy. He took it to heart, and quickly rose through the ranks of his tribe as his mutation furthered. Noticing his increasing power levels, he put himself into a deep slumber, lasting nearly two thousand years to further increase his power.
After awakening, Apocalypse had experienced some new mutations. The most prominent of which is him non-corporeality. Using his new power, he split himself into four parts and took over four of the four of the world’s most powerful mutants; Darwin, Rogue, Toad and Forge. Using their power, he attempted to wipe out all life on the planet but theirs, but was stopped by the combined forces of the X-men and the Brotherhood of evil mutants.
Bolivar Trask: The world’s foremost expert on cybernetics and human enhancement was, ironically, terrified of the next step in our evolution. When Eric and Charles opened their school, one which would create a safe haven for mutants to discover their own potential, he saw it a training facility for supermen. He proposed the Sentinel program, a government initiative to create cyborgs called sentinels to detect and monitor mutants. When his idea was shot down, he decided to take matters into his own hands.
He sought out disgruntled young mutants, and told them he could help them strike back at humanities mockery and disdain for them. He used them to create a gang he called the Mutant Liberation Force, and had them cause destruction across the country. The mutants included Quentin Quire, Anne Marie, Remy LeBeau, Tabitha Smith, and Dominic Petrakis. After seeing them in action, the government accepted Bolivar’s offer and moved ahead with a new Sentinel program, one that included lethal weapons.
Bolivar used them to quickly take out the MLF and detained them for a public execution. After that, his eyes were set on Xavier’s school for gifted youngsters. The students and faculty managed to fight him and his forces back, and in the battle he is decapitated by Eric.
Magneto and the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants: When Eric Eisenhardt was only a child, he was separated from his parents by the Nazis, where he was forced to work for his oppressors until he evolved, and found that he could manipulate metal. Using his newfound abilities, he forced his way out of the camp. He liberate the rest of the prisoners, but everyone but him was killed in the process.
He was picked up by some American soldiers and brought back to their country. While he was there, he did some research into the science of mutations, and tracked his own. In time he learnt that he could also manipulate magnetic fields to protect his body and fly, and his aging had been slowed.
Fifty years after his liberation in ‘45, Magneto met the young professor Charles Xavier. They quickly hit it off and became great friends. Five years later, after seeing the difficulties their race was facing, they decided to create a safe haven for mutants, with a school that will teach mutants young and old how to control their abilities and integrate with society. And for the first two years it went swimmingly. But that all changed when Bolivar Trask and his Sentinels attacked. The students and faculty managed to fight them back, but when the attacking force was defeated, Eric attacked Trask in his office, decapitating him.
Xavier was shocked by his course of action, while Eric demanded that the two of them kill the politicians that allowed this to happen. The friends split up, and Magneto set out to create a brotherhood. He broke the MLF out of prison, but only Quentin Quire and Dominic Petrakis (now calling themselves Kid Omega and Avalanche) joined him. He hires the mutant mercenary Sabertooth for some muscle, and then goes back to the school where he is joined by his children, Toad and Mystique.
They set out to assassinate the highest ranking figures in American politics, but are stopped by team created by Xavier called the X-men. Since the, the two teams of have been at odds, in a constant battle for liberty.
